Job summary

Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals (APAA) is seeking a detail-driven Cataloger to photograph and describe auction items in a busy studio setting. You will document items with accurate descriptions and images, supporting bidders and clients across Alaska.

The role offers a full-time hourly position with on-site studio work, occasional travel to client sites, and comprehensive benefits. Training is provided to ensure quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience or training in photography is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office and/or Google Workspace.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and background check ability.

Responsibilities

• Check the Catalogers Communications Chat for lot assignments and daily instructions.
• Coordinate with the Cataloging Manager when questions arise.
• Set up photography workspace, gather tools, and prepare studio.
• Photograph a high volume of items following APAA standards.
• Write accurate, complete condition descriptions in the auction system.
• Move inventory to photography station and manage office paperwork.
• Keep workspace clean, organized, and safe; follow safety protocols.
• Occasionally travel off-site to catalog items at estates or liquidation sites.
