Job summary

Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals (APAA) seeks a Full-time Hourly Inventory Loadout Coordinator to manage orders, track inventory, and optimize warehouse space. You will work with the intake and shipping teams to ensure accurate handling of consignments and timely preparation for auction or pickup.

The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced Alaska setting. Experience in shipping or warehouse operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup per schedule.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and safe storage.
  • Optimize warehouse space while prioritizing safety and preventing damage.
  • Follow policies for storing special items (firearms, jewelry, etc.).
  • Transport materials within the warehouse using manual and powered equipment.
  • Keep loadout areas clean and organized; report discrepancies or damage.
  • Coordinate with shipping to move items marked for shipping.

What the Inventory Loadout Coordinator Does
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to the schedule or direction.
  • Maintain the inventory tracking system accurately to ensure items are stored safely and organized.
  • Optimize warehouse space utilization while prioritizing safety and preventing damage to consigned merchandise.
  • Follow APAA policies for storing special items such as combustibles, firearms, jewelry, precious stones, and metals.
  • Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, hand trucks, carts, or other conveyances as required.
  • Keep the loadout bay, warehouse, and all storage areas clean and free of garbage, debris, snow, and ice.
  • Communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Report any inventory discrepancies or damage to consigned merchandise immediately.
  • Ensure all buyers’ merchandise marked for “shipping” is transferred to the shipping department.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to receive, verify, and store consigned inventory efficiently and accurately.
  • Experience in boxing or containerizing inventory by the seller and storing it on designated shelves.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Preferred: 1 year of related shipping or warehouse operations experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, memoranda, and company policies.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace applications.
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a background and reference check.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs independently and greater weights with assistance.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs, climb ladders, and perform extended periods of standing, lifting, and carrying.
  • Must be able to perform various physical activities required within the department.
Supervisory Role

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions & Schedule

The work environment is fast-paced and high-standard, requiring attention to multiple overlapping tasks and consistent attendance. Occasional overtime may be required. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (8-hour shift + 1-hour unpaid break)
