Job summary

Snell & Wilmer LLP, a leading Western U.S. law firm, is seeking an Attorney Talent Specialist to support attorney recruiting, integration, professional development, engagement, and retention.

Reporting to the Chief Talent Officer, you will build relationships with attorneys and leadership, coordinate development programs, and manage confidential information with discretion. Travel to other offices may be required; location is flexible among several offices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • At least 4 years of recruiting experience, preferably within a law firm, legal recruiting, or other professional services environment.
  • Prior experience working in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the professional development and talent needs of attorneys and the legal profession.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorney talent initiatives throughout the attorney lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding and integration, professional development, engagement, and retention.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support for attorney development programs, training initiatives, mentoring programs, and other firmwide talent initiatives.
  • Assist with the coordination of new attorney orientation and integration activities in collaboration with members of the Attorney Talent team.
  • Support the firmwide attorney mentoring program, including coordinating communications, maintaining program resources, tracking participation, and providing administrative support to mentors and mentees.
  • Assist with planning and execution of attorney training, networking, relationship-building, wellness, and engagement programs.

Attorney Talent Specialist Job Details

Snell & Wilmer LLP, one of the largest law firms in the Western United States, is seeking an Attorney Talent Specialist to support the Firm’s attorney talent initiatives, including attorney recruiting, integration, professional development, engagement, and retention. This position will work closely with attorneys, firm leadership, and members of the Attorney Talent team to help create a positive and consistent experience throughout the attorney lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building and organizational skills, excellent judgment, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and a genuine interest in supporting the professional growth and success of attorneys. We seek an individual who is proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with a diverse range of colleagues in a professional and thoughtful manner.

The individual selected will have a demonstrated track record of building relationships, coordinating programs and initiatives, managing multiple priorities, and providing exceptional support to attorneys and firm leadership. This position will work under the direction of the Chief Talent Officer and in collaboration with the broader Attorney Talent team.

Location: This position may be based in any Snell & Wilmer office. We welcome applications from qualified candidates in Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orange County, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Seattle, Tucson, and Washington, D.C. The successful candidate's office location will be determined based on business needs and the candidate's qualifications.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Support attorney talent initiatives throughout the attorney lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding and integration, professional development, engagement, and retention.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support for attorney development programs, training initiatives, mentoring programs, and other firmwide talent initiatives.
  • Assist with the coordination of new attorney orientation and integration activities in collaboration with members of the Attorney Talent team.
  • Support the firmwide attorney mentoring program, including coordinating communications, maintaining program resources, tracking participation, and providing administrative support to mentors and mentees.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of attorney training, networking, relationship-building, wellness, and engagement programs.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, training sessions, and other attorney talent initiatives, including scheduling, communications, materials, attendance tracking, and follow-up.
  • Partner with members of the Attorney Development team to gather and organize feedback from attorneys regarding professional development, training, engagement, and other talent-related needs.
  • Assist with identifying trends and themes in attorney feedback and preparing summaries and reports for firm leadership and relevant committees.
  • Support attorney exit interview processes, including scheduling, documentation, and summarizing feedback for firm management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential attorney talent records, program information, and related documentation.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of attorney development resources, communications, and other materials.
  • Build strong working relationships with attorneys, firm leadership, and administrative professionals across offices and practice groups.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive attorney and personnel information.
  • Monitor project timelines and proactively communicate status, issues, and follow-up items to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Travel to other Firm offices occasionally may be required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the Attorney Talent team and the Firm.
Experience And Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • At least 4 years of recruiting experience, preferably within a law firm, legal recruiting, or other professional services environment.
  • Prior experience working in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the professional development and talent needs of attorneys and the legal profession.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, trusted relationships with attorneys and professionals at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with attorneys, firm leadership, and administrative professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach to identifying needs, solving problems, and moving projects forward.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, training programs, mentoring programs, or other professional development initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and effectively use firm systems and technology.
  • A positive, collaborative, and service-oriented approach with a genuine interest in supporting attorney success and contributing to a strong team environment.
  • Occasional travel to other Firm offices will be required.

Attorney Talent Specialist role offers a salary range of $80,000.00 to $110,000.00. Compensation will vary based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, and work location.
