Job summary

A leading national law firm is seeking a mid-level to senior Employment Litigation Associate to join its California practice. This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney with experience defending employers in employment-related litigation, including matters involving California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and wage-and-hour claims.

The successful candidate will work on employment litigation matters within an established national platform and should be comfortable managing

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Mid-level to senior associate experience in employment litigation.
• Experience with employment defense and California employment law.
• PAGA and wage-and-hour defense experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Strong academic credentials and a stable professional history.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Trial experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in employment-related litigation matters.
• Handle PAGA claims and wage-and-hour disputes.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.

Position Overview

This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney with experience defending employers in employment-related litigation, including matters involving California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and wage-and-hour claims.

The successful candidate will work on employment litigation matters within an established national platform and should be comfortable managing assignments independently while collaborating with colleagues across the firm.

Compensation and Benefits

The firm offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Salary open depending on experience - between $200-300K+

• Eligibility for subjective and objective bonuses.

• Benefits eligibility for attorneys working at least 30 hours per week.

Billable Hour Requirement: 1,900 hours annually for full-time litigation attorneys.
