Job summary

DM Injury Law in Kansas City seeks an attorney to lead a personal injury caseload from day one in a fast-growing Midwest firm. You will work with English- and Spanish-speaking clients, negotiate with insurers, supervise non-attorney staff, and ensure high-quality pleadings and settlements.

The role features uncapped origination pay, a contingency-based practice with no billable-hour requirements, quarterly bonuses, a 401(k) with 4% match, and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of civil practice experience.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume practice environment.
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and related tools).

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury files through the pre-litigation claims process, supported by a dedicated paralegal and case manager.
• Interact and negotiate directly with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with and maintain strong relationships with English- and Spanish-speaking clients.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Ensure accuracy and quality across all documents prepared by you and your team.
• Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Use our case management system to track case status, deadlines, and client communications.

About the Opportunity

This role is based in our Kansas City office. You'll work alongside our legal team to deliver the highest standard of representation for every client, while providing direction and supervision to non-attorney staff. Fluency in English and Spanish is required for this role.
