Job summary

Cipriani & Werner P.C. in Pittsburgh's Mt. Lebanon office is seeking a General Liability Attorney to join its growing team.

The successful candidate will handle defense work, communicate with clients, manage discovery, and draft memoranda, motions, and appeals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and active PA license.
• 5-7 years of insurance defense experience required; trial experience preferred.
• Experience in motor vehicle and premises liability defense preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a high-volume team environment.

The Pittsburgh Office in Mt. Lebanon, PA is looking for a General Liability Attorney to join our growing team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Evaluate new files.
• Client communications.
• Discovery production.
• Research and prepare legal memoranda on various areas of law.
• Prepare and argue discovery.
• Substantive, dispositive pre- and post-trial motions and appeals.
• Attend pretrial listings.
• Motions and trial.

Position Requirements:

• Must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and maintain an active license in good standing in Pennsylvania.
• 5-7 years of insurance defense experience required; insurance coverage background and trial experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident and product liability preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast paced work environment.
