Job summary

Downtown Evansville Inc. seeks a hotel room attendant to maintain cleanliness and guest comfort in a casino hotel setting. Duties include cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, and ensuring security and confidentiality of guest spaces.

The role requires physical endurance, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to service standards. Availability for varied shifts including holidays and weekends is expected. Benefits provided include 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
• Always follow the Company Service Standards model.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms daily as directed by supervisor.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
• Fill and process guest requests as quickly as possible.
• Provide courteous and friendly service to hotel guests.
• Strip soiled linens from beds and remake neatly with clean, unstained linen.
• Thoroughly dust all furniture, fixtures, etc.
• Clean the bathroom and vanity area.
• Wash the inside of windows, and mirrors.
• Vacuum carpeting in assigned rooms.
• Replace guest room amenities in their proper place.
• Keep linen cart neat and organized.
• Restock linen cart supplies before ending shift.
• Ensure all collateral in room and lights are working.
• Turn in liquor found in checked-out rooms to supervisor.
• Operate equipment per procedures.
• Follow lost and found procedures.
• Inform supervisor of early checkouts, refused or late service.
• Report maintenance work orders to Room Inspectors.

• Thoroughly vacuum the carpeting of all assigned rooms.

• Keep linen cart as neat and organized as possible.
• Restock all linen cart supplies before ending shift.
• Ensure all collateral in is the room, and all lights are working properly.
• Turn in all liquor found in checked-out rooms to housekeeping supervisor.
• Use correct procedures for operating all equipment.
• Follow proper procedure for all lost and found items in guest rooms.
• Informs supervisor of any early checkouts, refuse service, or late service.
• Reports, to Room Inspectors, any maintenance work orders for needed repairs to room.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
• Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
• Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time.

The Casino industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation. This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures. Occasional exposure to outdoor climates.

Target Salary Range:

Hourly $14.00
