The position requires a Bachelors Degree or related experience, knowledge of PA attendance laws, strong communication, and willingness to travel. Full-time, 12-month role with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of attendance and engagement requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of state attendance requirements and communicate to families.
• Evaluate weekly attendance data and monitor learners with excessive absences or overdue lessons.
• Contact learners who are noncompliant or at risk of noncompliance.
• Send, track, and record written correspondence regarding attendance and engagement.
• Schedule and participate in attendance conferences with learners, families, and staff.
• Identify barriers to attendance and engagement and seek community resources.
• Develop and communicate improvement plans to learners and caretakers.
• Communicate improvement plans to teachers and staff.
• Track compliance with improvement plans and respond per protocols.
• Conduct home and community visits to at-risk learners.
• Coordinate referrals to attendance improvement programs or authorities.
• File citations and prepare for truancy hearings.
• Document and organize communications and data in school systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
