Qualifications

• Certified or certifiable as Supervisor of Attendance.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• At least 5 years experience in teaching, social work, counseling or court-related work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Personal vehicle available for daily use.
• Evidence of skills in writing and public presentations.
• Some knowledge of court and legal system preferred.
• Ability to speak a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all statutory duties of Supervisor of Attendance.
• Maintain active relationships with school principals.
• Provide monthly attendance reports to administration and School Committee.
• Organize and participate in ad hoc attendance improvement committees.
• Build positive relationships with students and families.
• Make home visits to verify residency within Malden.
• Prepare and present CRA hearings documents in juvenile court as needed.
