Job summary

Cahaba Federal Solutions seeks an Attaché Affairs Specialist to provide executive-level intelligence, protocol, and international engagement support to the HQDA G-2. The role requires coordinating with Army staff, foreign military representatives, and interagency partners to prepare briefing materials and support senior leaders with timely intelligence and diplomacy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 8+ years supporting DoD/Joint Staff/HQDA organizations in intelligence, international affairs, protocol, executive support, or strategic operations.
  • Knowledge of U.S. military protocol, diplomatic engagement processes, and foreign military liaison operations.
  • Experience preparing executive-level correspondence, read-ahead materials, intelligence summaries, and briefings for senior government or military leaders.
  • Familiarity with Army staff processes, HQDA operations, and coordination across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience interacting with senior military leaders, foreign officials, and executive staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including foreign embassies, interagency partners, and senior government officials.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across cross-functional teams and diverse organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead protocol and diplomatic engagement functions supporting foreign military attachés, including coordination of diplomatic correspondence and invitations.
  • Coordinate with regional desk officers to advise Army Senior Leaders on event representation levels.
  • Prepare and deliver read-ahead intelligence and protocol materials for ASLs at embassy-sponsored events.
  • Serve as the primary interface with foreign embassies to facilitate engagements and manage invitation responses.
  • Synthesize and distribute the DAMI-STF Weekly Activities Report (WAR).

Job Summary

We are seeking an Attaché Affairs Specialist to provide executive-level intelligence, protocol, and international engagement support to the of HQDA G-2. This position requires coordinating with Army staff, regional desk offices, foreign military representatives, and interagency stakeholders to facilitate high-level diplomatic engagements, prepare executive briefing materials, and provide timely intelligence and protocol support to Army Senior Leaders (ASLs). The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with extensive experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment while ensuring compliance with U.S. Army protocol and diplomatic practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead protocol and diplomatic engagement functions supporting foreign military attachés, including the coordination and processing of diplomatic correspondence, official embassy invitations, and protocol actions for HQDA personnel.
  • Coordinates with regional desk officers to deliver strategic recommendations to Army Senior Leaders (ASLs) regarding appropriate levels of event representation.
  • Prepares and delivers critical read-ahead intelligence and protocol materials for ASL—including the SecArmy, CSA, UnderSecArmy, VCSA, DAS, and DCS, G-2 (or designated representatives)—when attending embassy-sponsored events.
  • Serves as the primary interface with foreign embassies to facilitate engagements, manage official invitation responses, and resolve bilateral requests for information.
  • Synthesizes and distributes the DAMI-STF Weekly Activities Report (WAR).
Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Government, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting DoD, Joint Staff, or HQDA organizations in intelligence, international affairs, protocol, executive support, or strategic operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. military protocol, diplomatic engagement processes, and foreign military liaison operations.
  • Experience preparing executive-level correspondence, read-ahead materials, intelligence summaries, and briefings for senior government or military leaders.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 USD - $225,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
