Job summary

Seminole County/Board of County Commissioners is hiring for an Administrative and technical role coordinating the County's Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) and Fiber Optic WAN. You will plan, design, install, and maintain ATMS and related networking, acting as liaison with municipalities and state agencies on design recommendations and interoperability.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree with five years of related experience (or equivalent), ISMA Level II Signals or ability to

Qualifications

Associate's Degree and five years experience, or any equivalent combination.
ISMA Level II Signals required or obtainable within 2 years.
Valid Florida Driver's License.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Knowledge of traffic operations theories and database management.

Responsibilities

Coordinate ATMS maintenance, planning, and upgrades with FDOT and local agencies.
Monitor FDOT Traffic Feeds and display on DMS for travel times and incidents.
Maintain AutoCAD drawings for 300 roadway miles of fiber optic cable and 150+ buildings.
Troubleshoot video, DMS, network equipment, and Naztec signal hardware.
Perform system administration and document work using Maintstar.
On-call duties for after-hours emergencies and special projects.
