Job summary
Metric Engineering LLC is seeking an ITS professional to apply analysis and design of ITS, traffic signals, and tolling operations to support deployment on transportation technology projects. You will work with a project manager and design staff to develop plans, specifications, and related documents across FDOT and local agencies.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 0–4 years of experience, familiarity with fiber optic, traffic control systems, and CAD tools
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 0-4 years of experience in ITS, Traffic Signal and Tolling operations.
- ABET accredited degree in Engineering is preferred and helpful for certification.
- Engineering Intern Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Complete assignments as directed by the ITS Project Manager or project lead, under supervision.
- Prepare plans, specifications and related documents for ITS, Traffic Signal and Tolling projects.
- Attend client meetings, take minutes, and distribute actions to the project team.
- QC/Proofread technical documents prior to submission.
- Travel across the State of Florida as needed for deployments.
