Job summary

Texell Credit Union in Temple, TX is seeking a Payments Systems Specialist to manage ATM balancing, replenishment, monitoring, inspections, and reconciliations under the Finance Department. You will also support wire transfers, ACH processing, check reviews, and daily cash letters to ensure accurate and timely payments.

You will maintain ATM/general ledger reconciliation, liaise with the Federal Reserve for EFT items, monitor the Federal Reserve balance, and research adjustments while seeking

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years of financial institution or related experience.
• ATM management experience preferred; ACH/Check/Wire processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Texell, named one of the BEST credit unions to work for in the NATION by the Credit Union Journal, is seeking a Payments Systems Specialist!Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance & Payments, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, this position performs a broad range of functions within the Finance Department, with a primary focus on ATM and ESS balancing, ATM replenishment, ATM monitoring, ATM inspections, and ATM reconciliations. In addition, this position supports the Payment Specialist function as needed, including processing wire transfers, preparing daily cash letters, reviewing checks, and processing ACH transactions.As an ATM/Payment Specialist you will:Prepare, review, and complete the daily Visa/ATM/ESS balancing process.Help facilitate the ATM replenishments, inspections, and ensure all machines are operating correctlyReconcile all ATM related general ledger accountsTake necessary steps to electronically receive, post and send all EFT and wire items to and from the Federal Reserve.Accurate and timely preparation of the Cash Letter for transport to the Federal Reserve.Update, generate, monitor, and complete the daily balancing of the Credit Union’s Federal Reserve account.Accurate and timely completion of research and reporting for all Federal Reserve adjustments.Check processing to include returned checks and review of remote deposit.Review and place necessary holds on ATM and mobile deposited checks.Provide innovative solutions to optimize efficiency and accuracy of payment workflows.Maintain knowledge of the evolving trends in the Payments Industry and changes in the Federal Reserve System for ACH, Wires, Check, and Cash Services.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.We're looking for someone who:Has a high school degree or GED.Six months to two years of financial institution or other related work experience.Previous experience with ATM management is preferred.Previous experience with ACH, Check, and/or Wire processing preferred.Positive attitude and a team first focus with an emphasis on providing outstanding service.Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime on a periodic basis.We want you to know that Texell:Values its’ employees, members, and communities they serve.Recognizes and rewards hard work via quarterly events such as the Annual Awards Banquet, Employee Family Day, and much more!Proudly participates in Corporate Challenge hosted each Fall with the City of Temple.Is passionate about helping those in need and volunteers for several events each month.Offers an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401K with a dollar for dollar match up to 6%, tuition reimbursement, and paid vacation and sick time.
