Job summary

Barrington James partners with a newly launching sterile compounding pharmacy in the Atlanta area to recruit an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Manager who will lead operations at its first site.

The role requires managing daily operations, leading pharmacists and technicians, and serving as the primary liaison to clinical leadership. It combines hands-on sterile compounding with strategic operational oversight for a growing national footprint.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with leadership experience in a compounding setting.
• Knowledge of USP 795/797/800 and Georgia Board requirements.
• Experience supervising pharmacists and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, staffing, scheduling, and training for pharmacists and technicians.
• Supervise sterile compounding activities in compliance with USP standards and regulations.
• Maintain quality and regulatory documentation and keep inspection readiness.
• Verify prescriptions and release compounded preparations; provide cleanroom support as needed.
• Support licensing, inspections, and operational readiness for a new facility.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to align pharmacy operations with clinical needs.
• Develop workflows and procedures replicable across future sites.
