Job summary

Catalyst Forge Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for a full-time, on-site role in Atlanta, GA. You will lead the preconstruction process from concept through final budget approval, develop detailed estimates, and coordinate design reviews with design teams and trade partners.

You will also review plans for constructability and risk, maintain cost data, manage bid packages, and present clear recommendations to leadership and clients.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Construction Estimating and Cost Management skills.
• Candidates should possess experience in Design Management and Budgeting for construction projects.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Proposal Writing and preparation of bid packages.
• Candidates should possess the ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, designers, and trade partners.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with estimating software and standard construction productivity tools (e.g., Excel, project management platforms).
• Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Candidates should possess prior experience in preconstruction or estimating for commercial or industrial projects; experience in the Atlanta market is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Leading the preconstruction process from concept through final budget approval.
• Developing detailed estimates and coordinating design reviews.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and reviewing plans for constructability and risk.
• Preparing and analyzing project budgets, managing bid solicitations and proposal documentation.
• Collaborating with design teams, trade partners, and internal stakeholders to align scope, schedule, and cost.
• Presenting recommendations to project leadership and clients.
• Supporting continuous improvement of preconstruction standards, tools, and workflows.
