Job summary

Brown University Athletics is seeking an Athletics Ticketing, Sales, & Creative Intern to support the Ticket Manager and Sales Coordinator in increasing ticket sales and visibility for Brown University Athletics.

Located in Providence, RI, this part-time, seasonal role involves day-to-day and game-day ticket operations for varsity events. You will help develop sales content, build community relationships, and deliver friendly service at games.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred.
• 1–2 years ticketing, sales, marketing, promotions, customer service, or event operations experience preferred.
• Experience in ticket sales/operations and promotions preferred.
• Ability to handle financial transactions and reconciliations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; computer literacy.
• Prior online ticket system experience preferred.
• Strong customer relations skills.

Job Description:

The Athletics Ticketing, Sales & Creative Intern will assist the Athletics Ticket Manager and Ticketing & Group Sales Coordinator with increasing the overall visibility of Brown University Athletics through ticket sales efforts. This position will assist with day-to-day and game-day ticket operations at ticketed varsity athletic events.

Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in game day preparation and execution for Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Gymnastics, Men's Hockey, Women's Hockey, Men's Lacrosse and Women's Lacrosse.
• Develop ticket sales strategies to maximize attendance and revenue for ticketed sports
• Develop content to align with and promote sales initiatives

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. One to two years of relevant experience in ticketing, sales, marketing, promotions, customer service, event operations, or a related area preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Some prior experience in ticket sales/operations, marketing, promotions, preferred.
• Ability to accurately handle financial transactions and basic reconciliations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral communication and computer skills needed.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and ability/willingness to learn new systems as required.
• Prior online ticket system experience preferred.
• Strong customer relation skills.
