Job summary

The Penn Champions Club within the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Director of Stewardship and Administration to lead annual fund stewardship, major gifts, and planned giving programs.

You will manage gift processing, donor databases, and reporting, supervise interns, and collaborate with development leaders to optimize fundraising outcomes while maintaining strong relationships with donors and volunteers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Experience in fundraising, event planning, volunteer management, stewardship, and marketing communications preferred.
  • Microsoft Office expertise and proficiency with databases required.
  • 40-hour work week with occasional remote work; evenings/weekends may be required; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement stewardship strategies for annual fund, major gifts, and planned gifts.
  • Manage the Penn Athletics Board of Advisors and volunteers; coordinate meetings and communications.
  • Collaborate on board management with Major Gifts Officers and other staff.
  • Serve as gift processing coordinator; manage gift agreements, transmittals, and receipts.
  • Maintain Compass donor database; support data mining and annual giving analysis.
  • Oversee budget, procurement, and general office operations; supervise interns and student workers.
