University of Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Class Giving Director for The Penn Fund in Philadelphia. This role leads class fundraising, manages donor portfolios, and coordinates with alumni volunteers to drive leadership giving and scholarship support.

You will supervise committees, analyze data, and collaborate across Development and Alumni Relations. The position emphasizes prospect development, travel as needed, and training volunteers, with a focus on milestone reunions and broad class

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Knowledge of fundraising principles, concepts, and techniques and is comfortable soliciting gifts from a diverse donor community.
• Enthusiasm for data‑driven decision‑making and a commitment to goal achievement.
• Desirable skills include interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and collaboration.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn systems and databases.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Potential to work nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Frontline Fundraising—Regularly connect with prospective donors and volunteers through visits, phone, and email.
• Meet with donors and volunteers to increase philanthropic support, prioritizing leadership annual giving prospects and endowed scholarship solicitations.
• Document all prospect actions within internal database to ensure information sharing across the University.
• Volunteer Management—Recruit, train, and manage reunion class giving committees and volunteers; motivate them to support solicitation efforts.
• Communicate with volunteers about progress, strategies, and priorities; create data and reports and update databases.
• Other duties—staff additional classes, liaise with partner teams, assist events.
