Job summary

Penn State University in State College, PA, seeks an Assistant Director of Annual Giving to partner with colleges, campuses, and programs across the University. You will lead data-informed campaigns and steward donor relationships in a fast-paced environment.

You will report to the Associate Director and collaborate with communications, development, and vendor teams to advance Penn State’s annual giving goals and values. This role is based at University Park.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience in fundraising or marketing.
• Experience creating or implementing annual giving campaigns across multiple channels.
• Ability to use data and results to inform fundraising strategies.
• Strong project management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship building.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-informed annual giving strategies to engage and increase donor support.
• Use donor data to identify opportunities and inform future strategies.
• Manage multichannel campaigns including direct mail, email, phone, text, digital, social media, events.
• Ensure campaigns align with priorities and budgets.
• Collaborate with communications and creative teams to develop messaging and assets.
• Identify, solicit, cultivate, and steward prospects and donors to strengthen relationships.
• Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports to optimize strategies.
• Interact with University staff and administration and coordinate meetings.
