Job summary

Penn State is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Giving within the Division of Development and Alumni Relations. The role partners with colleges, campuses, units, and programs to design data-informed annual giving strategies and grow philanthropic support across the University.

You will manage multichannel campaigns, collaborate with communications teams, identify and cultivate donors, and monitor campaign results to inform future fundraising plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of relevant experience.
• Experience developing or implementing annual giving campaigns across multiple channels.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and campaign results to inform fundraising strategies.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders across an organization.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful environment.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data-informed annual giving strategies for multiple units.
• Manage multichannel fundraising campaigns (direct mail, email, phone, text, digital fundraising, events).
• Serve as a strategic partner to units, translating needs into annual giving initiatives.
• Collaborate with communications and creative teams on messaging and assets.
• Identify, solicit, cultivate, and steward donors to grow philanthropic support.
• Monitor campaign performance and optimize fundraising strategies.
• Develop internal and external materials, proposals, and reports.
• Interact with University staff and administration.
