Job summary

University of Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Director of Stewardship and Administration to lead stewardship strategies for the Penn Champions Club and manage relationships with the Penn Athletics Board of Advisors. The role supports frontline fundraisers and collaborates with major gifts officers within the Division of Recreation & Intercollegiate Athletics.

You will oversee gift processing, data analysis, and reporting, while coordinating operations, budgeting, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years of administrative experience.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, customer service, and oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, event planning, volunteer management, stewardship, marketing communications and a passion for athletics strongly preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with complex database systems.
  • The position is based on a 40-hour work week with one to two days of remote work.
  • Capacity to work evenings/weekends/holidays as schedules dictate; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement stewardship strategies and materials for Penn Champions Club annual fund, major gifts program, and planned gifts.
  • Manage all aspects of the Penn Athletics Board of Advisors and volunteers for campaigns; onboard/offboard, meetings, and communications.
  • Collaborate with Associate Directors on sports board management and correspondence.
  • Serve as the gift processing coordinator and liaison between Penn Champions Club and Office of Gifts Planning; manage gift agreements and transmittals.
  • Use and maintain Compass donor database; generate reports and analytics to support fundraising.
  • Work with Finance and senior staff to manage the Penn Champions Club budget and procurement.
