Job summary

This position manages the Athletics Division for the City of Greenville, Texas, overseeing youth and adult leagues, programs, clinics, camps, and tournaments. It also supervises revenue-generating services and ensures performance against division goals.

Responsible for budgeting, reporting, and ensuring customer service and financial results meet targets. Strong leadership and partnerships with schools and community groups are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience and three years directly administering athletic leagues and programs.
• Qualifying programming experience must include organization-operated leagues with accountability for registration, league structure, staffing, participant service, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise division employees; hire, train, coach, discipline, and evaluate staff.
• Develop strategies to increase league enrollment, participation, and retention; set measurable goals.
• Direct planning, implementation, and evaluation of City-operated leagues and programs; ensure registration, scheduling, and communications.
• Create, market and sell athletic programs; collaborate with schools, coaches, and community partners to recruit participants.
• Recruit tournament directors and event organizers; secure new and returning events within approvals.
