The City of Garland is seeking an Athletics and Aquatics Services Specialist to develop, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate aquatics and athletics programs, leagues, classes, and events. Responsibilities include safety oversight, scheduling staff, and assisting with marketing materials.

Roles involve teaching or coaching as needed, plus planning special events and tournaments. Evening/weekend hours required based on programming and facility needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One year of related experience required.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications within six months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate and oversee aquatics and athletics programs daily.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise staff; payroll where applicable.
• Oversee facility operations, registrations, and field reservations.
• Ensure safety standards and respond to emergencies.
• Teach, coach, or officiate as needed.
• Plan and execute special events and tournaments.
• Prepare promotional materials and market programs.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve complaints; follow up.
