Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Temporary Facility Worker for the UTemp Pool at UT MAIN CAMPUS. This role involves cleaning and setting up for athletic events, with duties across multiple facilities and occasional driving of UT vehicles. Work hours are 6:30 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week, with non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends possible. A valid high school diploma or GED and custodial experience are required; a Texas driver's license is necessary.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• One year of experience performing custodial services and set up of furniture and equipment in a public use facility.
• Equipment and processes used in cleaning large buildings.
• Candidate must have flexibility with the schedule: This position may be required to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning interior spaces at all athletics facilities.
• Assist with game day stadium and field set up at all Athletic facilities.
• Stock restrooms prior to varsity sporting events.
• Empty trash cans and sweep public areas at all Athletic facilities.
• Assist with furniture moving.
• Drive a UT vehicle as needed.
• Scrubs, sweeps, seals, vacuums and buffs floors.
• Cleans office, restroom, dressing room, meeting room and seating areas.
• Works closely and cooperatively in teams, groups and with others, including professional entertainer crews and crews from private facility users.
