Job summary

Columbia University Athletics, a premier NCAA Division I program in New York City, seeks an Associate Athletics Director for Facilities Operations and Capital Planning. The role oversees the facilities master plan, budgeting, and operations across multiple campus locations.

The position partners with senior leaders to ensure safety, ADA compliance, and seamless event operations, while coordinating capital projects, capital budgeting, and vehicle management for the department.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years related experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree desirable.
• Valid US Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders at Columbia University Athletics locations to meet facilities needs.
• Devise and maintain a Facilities Master Plan for the department.
• Act as liaison with Capital Project Management, contractors, architects, and engineers for capital projects.
• Coordinate with Facilities Operations to manage upkeep of campus athletics facilities.
• Lead facility scheduling discussions with staff to oversee scheduling for varsity, club, and intramural events.
• Develop, manage and track facilities budgets, including maintenance and capital needs.
• Oversee revenue generation opportunities through rentals and events.
• Oversee vehicle management and driver training/approval for department vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, Ivy League and Columbia policies and update safety protocols.
