Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Athletics department is seeking a Support Services Associate to assist Division I event management for Olympic sports and football/basketball events. The role requires high reliability, crowd management, ticket scanning, public address, and coordination with visiting teams and officials.

Nights, weekends, and adverse weather may be required. This temporary EHRA NF position (1.0 FTE) is located in North Carolina with a 12-month appointment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Working knowledge of various computer applications beneficial.
• Ability to advise and manage event operations; operate under stress and adapt to changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Division I Athletic event management for regular and post-season events.
• Manage crowds, coordinate with visiting teams and officials, and operate scoreboards/public address systems.
• Scan tickets and provide high levels of service and reliability; work nights, weekends and in inclement weather as needed.
