Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago's Richard J. Daley College seeks an Assistant Director – Athletics, Compliance & Retention to develop and administer athletic programs, ensuring student-athletes receive academic support services to aid transition, retention and completion.

The role includes assisting in NJCAA eligibility certifications, compliance reporting, and coordination with coaches and staff to maintain program integrity and compliance with CCC policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sports management, sports education, physical education, exercise science or related field.
• Three years of coaching experience at high school or college level.
• Knowledge of CCC policies regarding athletics and academic performance.
• Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to increase student-athlete enrollment, retention, and completion.
• Represent the college at recruitment events and promote athletic programs.
• Assist in ensuring student-athletes are eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics.
• Prepare NJCAA certification forms and compliance reports as needed.
• Provide information sessions on NJCAA rules to coaches and staff.
• Maintain records for medical examinations and eligibility documents.
