Job summary

Dominican University New York is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in Orangeburg, NY. You will lead the institution’s NCAA Division II compliance efforts, develop policies, and educate staff and coaches on rules and best practices to protect student-athlete eligibility and institutional integrity.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, strong organizational and leadership abilities, and 2–3 years in athletic administration or coaching.

Strong organization and leadership skills; knowledge of NCAA rules.

Responsibilities

Serve as the College’s NCAA compliance coordinator.
Administer NCAA Division II compliance program and monitor activities.
Interpret NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and guide coaches and staff.
Develop and maintain compliance policies and educational materials.
Investigate violations and coordinate reporting when required.
Coordinate initial and continuing eligibility certification for student-athletes.
Maintain squad lists and required NCAA eligibility documentation.
Manage the transfer eligibility review processes.
Review countable aid, institutional grants, and outside awards.
Monitor recruiting activities and ensure compliant practices.
Develop and conduct ongoing compliance education programs.
Maintain compliance databases and submit reports.
Meet with coaches to ensure rule compliance.
Assist the Associate Athletic Director with budget oversight.
Performs other duties as assigned.
