Job summary

Saginaw Valley State University is seeking an Athletics Communication Manager to lead branding, media relations, and digital coverage for NCAA Division II programs. You will oversee live updates, content creation, and game-day operations across the SVSU Cardinals platforms.

You will manage the athletics website and social channels, coordinate graphics, video production, and promotional materials while ensuring compliance with NCAA and conference rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, public relations, sport management, or related field.
• Experience with desktop publishing, design software, and web publishing platforms.
• Experience updating and maintaining an athletics website (PrestoSports, Sidearm, SID Help).
• Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok).
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations of the Athletic Communications department and report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.
• Maintain SVSU Athletics website content (rosters, schedules, stats, bios).
• Manage SVSU Athletics social media (X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
• Develop and distribute digital content and game-day graphics for home/away contests.
