Job summary

Amberwell Health in Atchison, KS is seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer to support athletes' health care, injury prevention and rehabilitation within our hospital setting.

You will perform strength testing, breath alcohol and drug screen collections, audiometer testing and spirometry, while assisting physicians in procedures and documenting care in the EMR system. Collaboration with patients and employers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training is required.
• State and NATA licensure required; CPR certification.
• DOT/BAT/CAOCH/NIOSH certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and coordinate in-clinic flow for staff and employers.
• Perform strength testing and pre-employment tests per protocol.
• Collect breath alcohol and drug screens for DOT and non-DOT cases.
• Assist physician during procedures and document in EMR daily.
• Provide patient education on splints, crutches and casting.
• Assist in in-office procedures including joint injections and ultrasound guidance.
