Job summary

Amberwell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant at its Atchison clinic to support providers in delivering clinical services. Responsibilities include patient intake, recording medical history, vitals, injections, vaccines, EKGs, and CLIA-waived labs, while maintaining accurate chart documentation and coordinating referrals.

The MA will work with a care team to follow protocols, ensure patient safety, and contribute to wellness education and preventive care across visits.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task with good organization and effective communication.
• 1–2 years of clinic experience preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Clinical Medical Assistant Program.
• BLS and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, verify, and record patient health history.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, injections, vaccinations, and minor surgeries.
• Document patient data, treatments, medications, and test results in the chart.
• Coordinate referrals and follow up on tests and test results.
