Job summary

AdventHealth in Ottawa, Kansas is seeking an Athletic Trainer PRN to provide evidence‑based health services, injury prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The role builds relationships with physicians, staff, athletic directors, athletes and families while supporting contractual requirements for events and programs.

You will promote Sports Medicine offerings, educate patients and caregivers, and maintain compliant medical records as part of a collaborative care team within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• ATC certification and BLS required.
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs athletic training clinical evaluations and emergencies.
• Designs rehabilitation and therapeutic intervention programs.
• Maintains medical records per regulatory standards.
• Provides athletic training services for events and teams.
• Markets sports medicine programs to physicians and community.
• Collaborates with leadership to implement policies.
