Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an Athletic Trainer to evaluate, treat, and manage musculoskeletal injuries and concussions within the Sports Medicine practice, under physician oversight. You will provide on-site education, bracing instructions, and patient guidance, aligning with OhioHealth policies.

You will also assist with medical documentation, enter data in EMR, and coordinate imaging, labs, and pre-admission tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• ATC credential and BOC certification required.
• Willingness to travel and work at various locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform physicals under physician supervision.
• Conduct neurocognitive, BESS and SCAT testing for concussion patients.
• Assist with casting/bracing and other orthopedic tasks.
• Document vital signs and medical procedures in EMR; coordinate tests and follow-up.
• Support physician with scheduling, communication, and patient education.
