Job summary

Orthopedic One in Ohio is seeking a Licensed Athletic Trainer to provide ongoing athletic training services in our outpatient rehabilitation practices. You will assist physical therapists, develop conditioning programs, and deliver patient care under supervision, while adhering to professional standards.

Responsibilities include inventory management, equipment upkeep, administrative duties, and emergency response for athletic injuries.

Qualifications

• Possesses bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization.
• Certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and hold current State Licensure.
• CPR certification including BLS/AED training.

Responsibilities

• Assists physical therapists with exercise programs and patient treatments and performs rehabilitative modalities under physical therapist supervision.
• Develops strength training and/or conditioning programs for athletes/patients. Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed regimens and health maintenance.
• Delivers patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist in line with NATABOC and Ohio board acts.
• Takes inventory of supplies, stocks supplies and maintains equipment and linens; coordinates maintenance and upkeep of gym/therapy equipment.
• Performs administrative functions as assigned by director and supports lectures, clinics, and athletic screening programs.
• Provides emergency response for athletic injuries and conducts orthopedic and neurological injury evaluation and management.
