Mercy Health Kenwood Orthopedic is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide clinical support, perform injury assessment, bracing and rehabilitation, and facilitate return-to-play under supervision. The role emphasizes patient education, treatment planning, and collaboration with physicians and therapists, with emphasis on accurate documentation.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Athletic Training, NATA certification, and an Ohio AT license; Master’s degree is preferred, and BLS is required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training is required.
• Master’s degree in Athletic Training is preferred.
• NATA BOC Certification is required.
• Current state Athletic Trainer license is required.
• BLS certification preferred or required within specified timeline.

Responsabilités

• Assist in daily clinical treatment of patients with supervision.
• Guide patients on exercise programs and treatment plans.
• Coordinate injury prevention programs and return-to-play rehab.
• Collaborate with athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other medical staff.
• Document injuries and plans of care; manage scheduling and billing activities.
• Maintain competency through continuing education and trainings.
