Qualifications

• Licensure by the State of Ohio Athletic Training Board.
• Board Certification for Athletic Trainers.
• Current BLS certification.
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prevention, assessment, management, treatment, rehabilitation of athletic injuries under physician supervision.
• Review and order diagnostic studies under physician direction.
• Take thorough patient histories including injury details and meds reconciliation.
• Perform physical examinations including ROM, strength, gait, and special tests.
• Provide rehabilitation education and progression to patients.
• Educate patients and families continually.
• Assist physicians with in-office procedures and referrals.
• Coordinate scheduling of appointments, testing, and procedures.
• Collect vitals and document care per OSUWMC guidelines.
