Job summary

Bone & Joint in Wisconsin is seeking a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) & Clinical Support Specialist to join our Therapy team. You will provide athletic training coverage for local schools and community events while supporting patient care in our clinic.

The role requires BOC certification, a Wisconsin license or eligibility, BLS, strong communication, independence, and a valid Wisconsin driver's license. Evening and weekend coverage is part of the schedule as we coordinate care across sites.

Qualifications

• Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers is required.
• Wisconsin Athletic Training License or eligibility required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with athletes, coaches, parents, and healthcare providers.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services for local high school athletic programs, practices, games, tournaments, and community events.
• Evaluate injuries and illnesses and develop treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate athletes and coaches on injury prevention and recovery strategies.
• Manage concussion programs and return-to-play processes.
• Assist with clinic support including equipment fitting and clerical tasks.
• Maintain injury documentation and communicate through athletic training software platforms.
• Collaborate with other athletic trainers to ensure broad coverage across sites.
