Title: ATHLETIC TRAINER
Team Qi2 is seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer to join our team, responding to a contract request.
Primary Functions/Work Responsibilities:
- Perform daily clinical operations of the AT program, including prevention, recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries, treatment, and rehabilitation for FBI New Agent Trainees (NATs), National Academy (NA), staff, and other students under the supervision of the Supervisory Physician Medical Officer.
- Perform administrative duties such as medical record documentation, management of medical resources, and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend scheduled high-risk activities like Physical Fitness Tests, Point Runs, NA Challenge Runs, and other events, with awareness of related training programs.
- Work within the scope, practice, and standards of the Certified AT in Virginia.
- Employ current standards and modalities within scope of practice and state standards.
- Educate and train FBI Physical Training Unit instructors and students on injury prevention, exercise performance, and proper equipment use.
- Apply protective injury-preventive devices such as tape, bandages, and braces.
- Maintain athletic training equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and calibration.
- Follow universal precautions to reduce disease transmission.
- Act as emergency care personnel and function as an EMT if certified.
- Provide monthly activity reports to supervisors.
- Maintain professional development and current licensure as a Certified AT in Virginia.
- May be required to operate emergency or government vehicles for response and other duties.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Science with focus/minor in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or related field.
- Master's degree in athletic training or related field (preferred).
- Certification as an AT.
- License or eligibility for licensure in Virginia.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification; instructor certification preferred.
- Minimum two years of relevant experience.
- AEMT certification (preferred).
- Certification as a Conditioning and Strength Specialist (preferred).
- Valid state driver's license.
- Ability to attain and maintain Top Secret Clearance; current TS clearance preferred.
