Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine, the Athletic Trainer is responsible for recognizing, treating, rehabilitating, and providing emergency care and first aid for injuries and illnesses to intercollegiate student-athletes. This position works with student-athletes to provide care, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses both on campus and at game venues. This role provides injury prevention measures such as appliances, braces, and devices for control of joint motion and limb protection.
This position plans and manages the rehabilitation progress and return-to-play planning of injured athletes. Additional duties include providing daily injury reports, reporting the status and progress of injured athletes to team physicians and coaches, and maintaining established safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
