Summary of Position

Under the direction of the team physician, and in accordance with the Pennsylvania Athletic Training Practice Act, the Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing athletic training services to student-athletes in the secondary school setting. This includes preventative measures, emergency care, clinical evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries.

This position will assist the Hershey School District High School and Middle School. No clinical responsibilities are expected as this is a school-based role.

The Athletic Trainer will provide coverage for practices and games for all in-season sports, some summer camps/workouts, and oversee all game responsibilities. Administrative duties may be assigned.

The schedule is mostly from 12p - 8:30p, varying with sports schedules.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of employment
  • Current BOC certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • PIAA Weight Assessor Certification (can be obtained after employment)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years experience preferred, but entry-level graduates with BOC certification are encouraged to apply.
