Job Summary

This role is a licensed athletic trainer who is highly skilled and motivated to support Blessing Health Orthopedic practice. The athletic trainer will work closely with orthopedic physicians, providers, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with a focus on casting/splinting, rehabilitation, and patient education. This role involves assisting with clinical evaluations, rehabilitation planning, and post-operative care, as well as providing support during patient consultations and treatments. The athletic trainer complies with the Code of Ethics/Standards of Practice as outlined by their professional organization and the State of Illinois. This position includes direct patient care, teaching, participation on appropriate committees, and departmental process improvement. The Athletic Trainer serves in all aspects of professional, clinical, communication, education, and leadership activities.

Job Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience:

• Required:
• Possesses a BS degree in athletic training.
• Experience in the health promotion/wellness and fitness field.
• Knowledge of health appraisal techniques, risk factor identification, and principles of fitness. Ability to assess data reflective of the athlete's status and interpret information.
• Preferred:
• Current BOC national certification for athletic training.
• License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
• Current Illinois state Athletic Trainer license.

Pay Status:

NON-EXEMPT HOURLY
