We Are Hiring

• Department: Sports Performance
• Schedule: Full Time, 20 hours per week dedicated to Kokomo City and County employees. Kokomo High School responsibilities begin 1 to 2 hours before school dismisses to the end of practices or games.
• Facility: Ascension Medical Group - Clinic
• Location: Kokomo, IN

What You Will Do

Assess injuries and manage comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.

• Develop conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes, ensuring safety and incorporating nutrition plans tailored to individual needs.
• Design and implement training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injuries and illnesses among athletes.
• Evaluate and manage injuries, maintain medical documentation for each athlete, and liaise between physicians and athletes.
• Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, regulations, and in conjunction with physicians and sports performance staff.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Athletic Trainer credential from the Indiana Athletic Trainers Board obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Additional Preferences

NATABOC certified athletic trainer; Master's degree preferred.
