Position Description

Location: University of New Haven

Some travel, weekends, evenings, and holidays are included.

The Supervisor of Athletic Training supervises Athletic Trainers and Strength & Conditioning Coaches in a college sports environment. The role involves 30% supervisory duties and 70% athletic training responsibilities.

Establish and maintain athletic training programs at each regional school, ensuring compliance with the established standards of care.

Provide athletic training services in accordance with NATA guidelines and practices, supporting the athletic department as directed by the Athletic Director and/or Team Physician(s). Assist with injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Attend team practices and sporting events, including travel. Availability includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Maintain high standards of academic integrity and comply with all relevant guidelines and regulations, including those from NATA, NCAA, America East, and the Conference.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program
  • 3-5 years of experience in athletic training
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Current NATA BOC Certification
  • State of Connecticut Athletic Training License
