Job summary

The City of Round Rock is seeking a Recreation Center Supervisor to lead operations at our new Athletic Performance Center, delivering high‑quality programs for residents and visitors. You will supervise a diverse team, manage customer service, programming, and partnerships with community groups, and ensure facilities run smoothly on event days and evenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks Administration, Recreation Administration, or related field.
• 3 years of progressive experience supervising operations in a recreation or multi-use facility.
• Experience with athletic or recreation space management and customer service.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing maintenance, security, and readiness of the recreation center.
• Hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff and volunteers.
• Leading customer service excellence and welcoming environment for patrons and partners.
• Managing revenues, expenditures, and purchase orders; building partnerships.
• Developing revenue strategies for memberships, rentals, and events.
• Planning programs, classes, workshops, and community events.
• Coordinating with community groups and partners to enhance programming.
• Conducting facility safety inspections and ensuring equipment is in good order.
• Occasionally working evenings, weekends, and event days.
• Maintaining FEMA Emergency Facility Manager certification (training provided).
