Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking an Athletic Certification Manager to review student-athlete academic records and document compliance with NCAA and Big Ten eligibility rules. You will maintain the eligibility database, project future eligibility, and support counseling staff to ensure degree progress and eligibility satisfaction.

The role involves handling sensitive student information with confidentiality and may require serving on the AEC Committee alongside Athletics staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience in academic administration, student affairs, enrollment management, academic advising, or organizational administration required; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Experience with academic program requirements
• Ability to analyze information obtained from reports, student systems, and statistics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create clear and precise documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Review academic records of student-athletes and document compliance with progress-toward-degree and eligibility rules.
• Maintain NCAA eligibility database and projections of future eligibility considerations.
• Support Husker Academics counseling staff and respond to counselors' questions.
• Generate, evaluate, and distribute daily enrollment reporting for academic status and enrollment changes.
• Serve as a member of AEC Committee alongside Athletics staff.
• Act on behalf of Assistant Registrar of Athletic Certification in absence, with confidentiality.
