Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers seeks an Associate AD - Director of Athletic Development & Operations in Norfolk, VA. The role leads the fundraising team, drives annual fund campaigns, donor relations, ticketing and premium seating, while supervising senior staff.

The position oversees major gift programs, endowments and NIL initiatives, with a focus on growing donor portfolios and sport-specific philanthropy across programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate athletic fundraising objectives to all constituents via visits, campaigns and events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the athletic fundraising team and manage the Athletic Annual Fund campaign.
• Direct donor relations, stewardship, ticketing, premium seating, seating reassignment, parking and hospitality.
• Supervise senior staff and oversee sport-specific fundraising, endowments, planned gifts and NIL initiatives.
• Maintain a portfolio of annual and major gift donors and manage capital campaigns.
