Job summary

Mutual of Omaha is hiring a Special Risk Claim Analyst to handle participant accident claims for college athletes. You will review, analyze, investigate, and determine benefits, perform data entry, imaging, and system updates related to claims, policy, eligibility, and correspondence.

Strong communication and meticulous organization are essential in this hybrid role at our Omaha, NE headquarters. Training hours are 6:30am-3pm, in person, with start times after training between 6:30am-8:00am.

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex information.
• Tech Savvy: comfortable using software for word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentations.
• Proven ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage Claims: thorough reviews and analyses to determine benefits guided by policy and regulations.
• Resolve and Execute Claims: initiate payments or denials through the claims system per guidelines.
• Adjust and Update: handle routine adjustments to claims with accuracy.
• Stay Informed: keep up-to-date with industry changes and internal processes.
• Drive Quality and Efficiency: meet productivity and quality standards and contribute to process improvements.
