Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an in-store team member to deliver excellent customer service and drive sales. You will engage customers, provide product knowledge, and support onboarding of new teammates in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes merchandising standards, participation in loyalty and warranty programs, and maintaining a respectful, athlete-first store atmosphere. Starting pay is hourly with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide clear, accurate information about products and assortment.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new team members as subject matter expert in their area of the store.
• Demonstrates efficiency in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset and ensuring products are ready for purchase.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage, price changes, and inventory presentation.
• Promotes participation in company programs (loyalty, warranties, credit card enrollment).
• Creates a store environment where teammates and athletes are welcomed and treated with respect, following safety and SOPs.
