Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Specialist – Off Field Operations to back‑end inventory and storefront execution while delivering an exceptional athlete experience in our Dayton area store.

You will support critical processes, ensure the store runs efficiently, and work with teammates to keep athletes ready and engaged. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and dependable execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as subject matter expert of their area of the store.
• Demonstrates efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset; ensures products are ready for athletes to purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
• Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promotes and drives customer participation in company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Creates a store environment where everyone is welcomed and treated with respect, adhering to safety, loss prevention and SOPs.
