Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in New York is seeking a Retail Cashier to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. You will greet customers, answer questions, process transactions and returns, and promote loyalty programs while maintaining brand standards.

You must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and work with a team in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive pay and a generous benefits suite.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively understand their needs to support their shopping experience.
• Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with Front-End procedures.
• Promote company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe and respected.
